aggressive predator management

January 31, 2007
@ 9:03 / 9:03 am

Update:
You can listen to the friendly Idaho Governor here at Defenders

From Idaho Fish and Game website :

When feasible and legal, the state would propose hunting wolves to provide opportunity for harvest of wolves, as well as to reduce problems with livestock and to maintain a balance between wolves and their prey.

Please allow me to draw your attention to the phrase “harvest of wolves”…

From The Sportsmen for Fish & Wildlife ( supported by King’s big business in Killing ) :

SFW continues to use politics as a tool to protect our hunting and fishing heritage in Idaho. With full-time staff in place Idaho SFW members will have their united voices shaping the policies and legislation used to manage our treasured wildlife resource.

From In Defense of Animals :
“the native species conservationists worked so hard to reintroduce and protect will likely be stalked and killed soon by an even more aggressive predator — man.”

So basically as i see it, the human predators at the Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife, are dancing on thin ice above hypocritical waters… (if they aren’t already swimming proudly)… They admit (boldly and proudly) that they are “using politics”… They portray that they are supported by big business (Kings) who OF COURSE stands to gain plenty from permission to kill these precious native species.

Are we really so civilized? Do we have no capacity to create peaceful pathways of co-existence? Do you personally respect life? Does that wolf have less right to exist than you? Is it threatening your ability to survive?

What are the reasons to destroy these animals? To take their last breath from a long distance without any fair fight? Is it wise to encourage men to use their intelligence to kill? When will we decide that the power rush is just not worth it? When?

As best as i can gather from my distant investigation, The primary motivating factors for killing all but 100 wolves in Idaho are as follows:
1. Sport (I suppose people have the right to entertain themselves as they wish and suffer the karmic consequences duly)
2. Protecting Human Lives (Have there been any injuries or deaths?)
3. Protecting livestock and other domesticated animals (ranchers will be reimbursed for wolf-related deaths)
4. Economic profit (from sport, and “saved” livestock)

So what are the statistics? How many livestock have been killed? How many humans have been attacked? Who are the real “invaders”?

Crazy world we live in!

White man takes land from nature, driving the people away who actually know how to coexist and communicate with and respect the creatures of the land. Then we want to protect our “live stock” so we can kill them ourselves…

And yes, we call ourselves civilized.

:-D

Please consider to take action now…

The secret…

January 24, 2007
@ 13:51 / 1:51 pm

Recently I added a post to a debate about the movie the secret:
http://julianwalkeryoga.zaadz.com/blog/2007/1/the_secret_part_three_-_an_antidote#comment_73388
there is a LOT of context and alot of interesting words coming from julian’s premises and the surrounding action…

Fantastic to see such passion about such a silly movie.

Perhaps it has its utility after all….

(indeed, it has prompted some deep reflection in the individuals who engage in these exchanges)

Julian, your fundamentalist skepticism is quite fan(t)a(s)tic…
I hope that you will consider to agree that the premises put forth by the Secret are provacative… which is far more relevant than your OPINION about what is TRUE or UNtrue, right, wrong, or whateva.

I have not read the whole stream of comments, yet i cherish the comment by C4chaos: “and therein lies the rub”… i assume it is an allusion to Beckwith’s statement in the secret :: in my opinion a nearly universal disclaimer to all of the busy finger work on these pages… It is both the conscious and sub conscious thoughts that affect our “reality”… “thats the rub” (please forgive me if i am bringing back something that has been elsewhere hashed rehashed fultilized or otherwise addressed - i hope this formulation adds something tasty to the soup)

i imagine that this can be taken in many ways, and lead to many lines of thinking and behaving… including and most certainly not limited to:
– i judge myself because i don’t have control over my sub conscious thoughts and doubts and they are sabotaging my attempts at attracting what i WANT
– i feel there may be something causally significant embedded in that “rub” and i am motivated to more closely observe and steer both my conscious and subconscious thoughts (a significant goal of a vast majority of serious, relevant and valuable “spiritual” disciplines)

Perhaps a golden rule in spirituality: if someone puts something in your mouth and expects you to swallow without chewing a bit… spit and run….

and likewise: if one is foolish enough to swallow a consumer oriented inspirational doctrine, without chewing, perhaps one deserves the fate that follows…

Astrology works

January 19, 2007
@ 13:15 / 1:15 pm

I, like MANY many many others, was at one time bloody skeptical about horoscopes… how can that info be important for the 1/12 of the global population who has their birthday in the same month as me… hmmm… yeah right…

BUT! it gets pretty juicy when we start looking at the details…

And i can recommend a look at my good friend Adrian Duncan’s website:
http://world-of-wisdom.com/01_horoscopes/horoscopes.htm
The astrology voice recordings that he is generously giving away (on the left of the sunsigns page) are from our weekly chats… He talks alot more than i do, which is very good if you actually want to learn something about astrology, but not so good if you are wanting to hear my voice alot… ;-)

WOW - first time i had 4 cores under my desk… and in such a damn sexy metal box too…

this machine rules and i loaded it to the brim with software and storage and RAIDed up 1.5 TeraBytes of hard disk space and this puppy is stable like a coin ducktaped to the underside of a 4 ton rock…

i had 3 processes over 100% CPU usage SIMULTANEOUSLY… while listening to iTunes, browsing the web, moving 1.5 GB files (on the same drives that the video encoding process were working)… and not even a burp…

i am so grateful to have access to this machine… and look forward to digital creativity explorations and explosions in the coming times!

if you want one of these, and you think you can actually make use of the horsepower… you don’t need to think twice about if its worth it… every penny and more….

so easy to install extra memory and hard drives, that i could kiss the designers feet…
so fast and stable that i feel that i can create anything digitally imaginable…

anyway… i don’t like to tell people what to do, but… GET ONE!

i am a bit out of breath at the moment…

very disturbed.

so i reviewed an item at amazon:

Tragic Blasphemy
Dear Dear Citizens of earth,

I write this review with a heart heavier than stone. A deep sorrow runs through my being as i become aware of this book and the horrible practices it seems to suggest. This review is based on the reading of chapter 17 on a website called stop the rod dot net. you can search for the title of this book on google and see the whole chapter there. I keep wanting to THINK it is a hoax or something… but the title of chapter 17 is clearly visible in the table of contents here at amazon: “The correct use of chastisement”

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinions and views and decisions about child raising and punishment. I don’t intend to judge anyone for their opinions. I am intending to point out some observations.

Over the years of humanity’s recorded history, we have seen MANY repetitions of a cycle or behavior that is very crass and in my opinion extremely blasphemous. People rationalize power hungry suppressive and VIOLENT behavior by using the name of God (eg. The Crusades). I cannot condone this behavior, i have trouble to accept that there are still humans on this planet who are employing this painfully destructive cycle.

If I were in front of you right now, i would beg you not to beat your child, not with your hand, not with a “rod” as this book blatently suggests, not with your words not even with your thoughts. The children of earth deserve better than this, my dear brothers and sisters.

I would like to make this perfectly clear with a small painfully true adaptation of the back cover: (integrating some material from chapter 17)
“J Richard Fugate accepted Christ as his savior in 1968 at the age of 28. Three years later he totally committed himself to serve God wherever he was called.”(back cover). These days he is selling books that encourage parents to beat their children with a rod in order to “bring a rebellious child’s will under control” (pg.173). In cases where the child is excessively willful, Fugate suggests that it may “require enough strokes to receive stripes or even welts” (pg. 173).

I can not manage to reconcile this incredible injustice, and i truly hope that you will never have to read this review, because amazon will soon remove this book from its system of moral, ethical, if not legal grounds.

I am happy to suggest that you have a search for a book about indigo children (if you do a google search for: indigo children gotjosh … you can find a site that includes some audio readings of a fantastic book that is not widely distributed.)

blessings on your path, and virtue in your child raising decisions,
joshua

I hope you have time to go over to http://www.defenders.org/

http://www.shec-labs.com/OM_enviro_society.php
information such as:
http://www.knowledgepublications.com/solar_hydrogen.htm
and organizations like:
http://www.clean-air.org/

As a constituent, a supporter of Defenders of Wildlife and someone who cares about protecting wildlife and promoting real energy solutions, I strongly urge you to oppose any legislation that would dramatically expand oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

Earlier this year, the Senate passed legislation that would open up as much as eight million new acres in the Gulf of Mexico to harmful oil and gas drilling (S. 3711). Now it’s your turn to weigh in on this bill.

The pollution and increased ship traffic that comes with new drilling could be disastrous for sea turtles, whales, dolphins and other wildlife in the area. Worse, it represents yet another hand-out to big oil companies, rather than the forward-looking, environmentally sustainable energy policy that our country deserves.

I urge you to oppose this bill and support real solutions to America’s energy needs, such as increased fuel efficiency and new innovation in clean, renewable energy sources.

Remote Viewing, Remote Perception, Anomolies Research

WOW:
http://www.princeton.edu/~pear/remote_perception.html

someone (the “agent”) sat physically IN this scene, and someone else (the “percipient”) who was physically ELSEWHERE, and mentally uninformed about where the agent was, spoke the words (written here atop the scene):
Remote Viewing Remote Perception Anomolies Research - Scene of a castle with descriptive phrases of the background mountains, dark water, moss covered tower and walls

again WOW.
Also 650 trials over 25 years of research have a 3 parts in 10 billion chance to be generated by “chance”… as if any of us still believe that “chance” exists ;-)
the full white paper is here:

this paper reveals that:

So to answer the common questions, YES the agents are in almost all cases known to the perceipients, and NO neither are known to be psychic clairavoyant or otherwise especially skilled in these sort or ESP oriented endeavors.

What do you think?
Are you interested to experiment a little with these concepts?
I am beginning to brainstorm about how we will create a multimedia system to engage in remote viewing activities with people we know and don’t know!
Please feel free to use the contact form if you are interested…

Counting Calories?

November 20, 2006
@ 10:15 / 10:15 am

Some people eat over 1 kg (2.2 pounds) of meat per day (on average)…

Some on the other hand don’t :

From the 17th August until the 7th December 1996, Umasankar-ji stopped eating and sleeping altogether. His body weight remained the same and he continued his daily routine working in the assram in a perfect state of health.

How?

This swamiji, is said to “eat” the energy from the sun. Is it hocus pocus? Lies and Illusions? The website is quite convincing…

See EYE Ay and Google in Cahoots

November 2, 2006
@ 8:42 / 8:42 am

Recently i came accross this little article:
http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=4774
and its facinating stream of comments including this one bringing the source of this information to issue:
“If a gnat farted in India [Alex Jones] would assume that the New World Order had orchestrated it to cause global climate changes and re-shape the power structures of the entire universe.”

My take:

Privacy is an illusion.
period.

Internet Privacy is not only an illusion, it is a profound and hysterical joke.

If you want information privately, perhaps you should adorn your fancy fake beard and rasta wig, and hobble over to your local library resorting to good old fashion photocopies.

Back to the illusion issue.
One may say:: “BUT, if me and my boyfriend are alone in the room making love that is a very ‘private’ moment…”
think again:
The Akasha is said to be the library of all events and responses concerning Consciousness in all realities. That means: Every experience, by every conscious being, in every corner of existence, is permanently and irreversibly burnt into a record. Not a book nor a movie per se, but close enough in analogy.
http://www.answers.com/topic/akashic-records
http://www.experiencefestival.com/a/Akashic_Records/id/1905878
In there an entrance fee to this place? I think there are some things I’d like to check up on…

Anyway, since we are all aligning our thoughts, intentions, words, efforts and actions, with the highest good, we have no concerns who is watching and keeping track… The See EYE Ay is welcome to collect what they like… I intend that i am completely benign.

Brilliant Compositions

I’ve added a new link to Elsewhere

Here is an excerpt:

The characteristic theme of Sargeant’s[9] model of feminism is a self-justifying whole. Thus, the subject is contextualised into a neocultural narrative that includes language as a reality. The primary theme of the works of Rushdie is the common ground between society and culture.

However, several deconstructions concerning posttextual Marxism exist. If feminism holds, we have to choose between neocultural narrative and textual narrative.

In a sense, Debord promotes the use of posttextual Marxism to deconstruct the status quo.

A nice bucking fush quote from the gov ::

President George W. Bush discusses the Global War on Terror during an address to the Reserve Officers Association Friday, Sept. 29, 2006. “This is the call of a generation, to stand against the extremists and support moderate leaders across the broader Middle East, to help us all secure a future of peace,” said the President. White House photo by Eric Draper

ummmm, waging war in the name of peace?? haven’t we been through that before? did it ever actually work?

by the way typing “failure” into the search box and clicking I’m feeling lucky, produces a humorous result and a convienent shortcut to the above quoted information.

ps:
Apparently there is the curse that says that no President elected in a zero year (e.g. 1960, 1980, 2000) will survive office. It has been true for 200 years, with the exception of Reagan, who survived an assassination attempt.
