Here is an excerpt:
The characteristic theme of Sargeant’s[9] model of feminism is a self-justifying whole. Thus, the subject is contextualised into a neocultural narrative that includes language as a reality. The primary theme of the works of Rushdie is the common ground between society and culture.
However, several deconstructions concerning posttextual Marxism exist. If feminism holds, we have to choose between neocultural narrative and textual narrative.
In a sense, Debord promotes the use of posttextual Marxism to deconstruct the status quo.
A nice bucking fush quote from the gov ::
President George W. Bush discusses the Global War on Terror during an address to the Reserve Officers Association Friday, Sept. 29, 2006. “This is the call of a generation, to stand against the extremists and support moderate leaders across the broader Middle East, to help us all secure a future of peace,” said the President. ummmm, waging war in the name of peace?? haven’t we been through that before? did it ever actually work?
by the way typing “failure” into the search box and clicking I’m feeling lucky, produces a humorous result and a convienent shortcut to the above quoted information.
ps:
Apparently there is the curse that says that no President elected in a zero year (e.g. 1960, 1980, 2000) will survive office. It has been true for 200 years, with the exception of Reagan, who survived an assassination attempt.
