Arrogance vs. Confidence

i tried a google search today …

humility, gentleness, humbleness… strength within softness… a soft expression of strength.
Is there room for these qualities in arrogance? in confidence?

Many of us are aware that we often project around alot of emotions and judge eachother based on our projections much more often than we are honestly vulnerable and self-reflective.

One pattern that i have observed time and time again, is that a truly inconfident person, or perhaps i will say a person who actually feels inconfident inside, will portray forward behavior and project powerful energy in opposition to this inner confidence. Perhaps this can be a beautiful example of fake it till you make it, and perhaps it can be a false dishonest expression… I imagine i have taken part in both categories at one time and another.

Confidence must be somehow connected to confide… to reveal a secret and vulnerable truth to a trusted confidant… Perhaps one who is truly and deeply confident can confide in anyone and everyone, can trust the world enough to show their vulnerability and strong enough to express their truth with gentleness and compassion.. even in the face of visits from strong emotions and disruptive thought forms.

Am i often exhibiting arrogant behavior??
Is it possible that confident behavior can be misinterpreted as arrogant behavior, based on the projections of the interpreter?

Does gentleness speak louder than anger?

Is it a dishonest expression of self-control to create a gentle expression even if there is a layer of anger underneath the surface? Is it possible to choose a certain way of accomodating the anger and addressing its source with gentleness and still remaining true to our core essence… shining love with sharp direct words and a soft demeanor?

Or shall we just allow anger to flow through us and pollute the world perpetually? in endless cycles of emotional drama and manipulation…

what say you?
