same hands
Are we really soooooo different?
I recorded a voice stream the other morning:
here is an excerpt: “when we shake hands it is really the same hand shaking itself, when we meet eyes, it is truly the same eyes meeting themselves”
Literal Transcription:
there are some of us who know, beyond the shadow of any doubt, deep in the core of our hearts, that when we shake hands it is really the same hand shaking itself, that when we meet eyes, it is truly the same eyes meeting themselves. We know this, in part, because we dare to visit that core of our hearts, we dare to face the fear that dwells in the chasm between our minds and our hearts and to cross that chasm and to listen to the messages that we find there, the same messages year after year, century after century, millenium after millenium, but how can that be, when we see two hands and they’re different colors and we have different feelings and we have different needs, how can that be… oh but it is.
Context:
It started when i began to think about an experience up at golden city / anandaloka #2 in valaidaipalem. Ole and Robert were giving deeksha in front of the snack shop:
and the first day, many people approached me for heeling/deeksha, and i said to them “no, no, i have not done the 21-day process…” and gestured to ole and robert… this seemed silly (because deeksha comes from everywhere), but also i wanted to respect the code of behavior around there and felt funny giving “unauthorized” “deeksha” right there in GC…
but the second day, people were more persistent and i was more playful… so i did things like holding hands and looking into each others eyes and taking their hands and placing them on my head… which they did very hesitantly…. like they knew it wasn’t allowed and they weren’t so comfortable with it… i kept saying “same hands”… indicating, i have nothing that they don’t have, i am nothing that they are not…
We shared some beautiful oneness experiences, there at the oneness university.
i hope we can continue to seek for our healing from deeper and deeper within ourselves and to celebrate our illusory diversity with equality and respect…
i hope that we can each become aware of the timeless truth of unity and that the first phrase “there are some of who know” can transform into all of us know and all of us are aware!
